What are Heat Exchangers and what do they do?
An air cooled heat exchanger is a heat exchanger that cools or heats the process fluid flowing inside the tubes flowing inside the tubes by moving ai via fan(s), over tube's exterior surface, which is typically finned. Air cooled heat exchangers are used wherever heat needs to be extracted from a process. Your car's radiator is a perfect example. Your radiator fluid cools your engine as you drive. Your car's radiator cools the fluid by passing air over the radiators fins. If Heat is not extracted from a process, the process will overheat and typically fail. For example, your skin extracts heat from your body as you exercise. what would happen to you if you could not cool down?
