Cust-O-Fab, a leader in the design and manufacturing of shell and tube heat exchangers, vessels, towers, and other heat transfer components, in the petrochemical industry for 50 years, is currently seeking a Manual Mill Operator (VTL's) in our Beaumont location.
Position Summary:
The Manual VTL Mill Operator is responsible for setting up and operating Manual VTL Mills
Read prints for required specifications and dimensions
Set up parts and make layouts according to print for specifications
Operate Manual VTL Mill
Measure parts using different measuring tools (tape measure, dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers)
Remove slag using grinders
Operate overhead cranes on daily basis to load machines with parts
Cut supports to lengths needed using a hot saw
Occasionally operate forklifts
The best candidates will possess the following qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years minimum Manual Mill experience
Proficiency in reading blueprints and machining instruments such as indicators, scales, micrometers, etc.
Ability to work full time plus overtime
Ability to be a safety oriented individual and a team player
Ability to be punctual
