Cust-O-Fab ("Cust-O-Fab," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at www.custofab.com, COF World, our 3D interactive world at world.custofab.com, and any additional sites hosted by Cust-O-Fab (together, the "Sites"). It does not cover information we receive offline, such as through purchase orders or contracts, which are handled under those agreements.

Your use of the Sites is also governed by our Terms of Use.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Quote requests and contact forms on custofab.com: your name, company, job title, email address, office and mobile phone numbers, project details, and any files you attach (such as drawings or specifications).
COF World accounts (optional): your display name and email address. Older accounts may also hold a company or school, role, job title, or field of study. If we add other optional profile fields at a future date, those items will be included within this section.
COF World challenge activity: for account holders, the equipment you find, when you find it, your score, and the hints you use.
Communications: what you send us by email, phone, or via chat / comment windows.

You can explore COF World without an account and without giving us any personal information.

Information from other sources

We may receive business contact details, such as your name, company, title, and work email or phone, from trade shows, industry events, distributors and partners, referrals, and public professional profiles like LinkedIn. We use this publicly available information the same way as information you give us directly.

Information collected automatically

custofab.com: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time on page, and the referring site, through our host and, only with your consent, Google Analytics.
COF World: no analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. Our COF World server does not record IP addresses, browser type, referring page, or location. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard access logs (see "How long we keep information").

We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send us, sensitive information such as government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or health information.

Cookies and browser storage

When you first visit, a consent banner (provided by Usercentrics) lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, and U.S. visitors see a notice under U.S. state privacy laws. You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie Settings link in the footer.

Your browser settings

You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser. If you do, parts of the Sites may not work, and you will need to sign in to COF World again.

Our Sites do not currently respond to Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track browser signals. Your choices in the custofab.com consent banner control analytics cookies, and COF World has no analytics to turn off.

COF World

COF World is a 3D interactive world where you can explore the industries we serve and the equipment we build.

No account needed to explore. You can fly over the island, take tours, open product workspaces, run demos, and use AR without an account. Without an account, we store nothing about you on our servers.
Optional account. An account is needed only for the challenges / contests and leaderboard. You give a display name and email address and confirm your email with a 6-digit code. There are no passwords.
Signing in. We email you a 6-digit code to sign in, and you can link another device with an 8-character code shown on screen. Codes expire after 10 minutes. We store sign-in codes and tokens only in a scrambled, one-way form.
Where account data is stored. Account details and challenge progress are stored on servers operated for us by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States.
Email. COF World emails you only the sign-in codes you request. It does not send newsletters or marketing email, and we do not use your COF World email address for marketing.
Public leaderboard. If you play the equipment challenge, the public leaderboard shows your display name, score, equipment found, industries completed, time of last activity, and an internal account ID. Older accounts may also show an organization line, which you can hide in Menu > Account. Your email is never shown. Choose a display name that does not reveal personal information if you want to keep it private. Challenge links you share also include your display name.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account yourself in Menu > Account. Deletion takes effect immediately and removes your account, sign-ins, codes, and challenge progress, and signs you out. You can also ask us to delete it by contacting us.

AR and your device

Camera: COF World never accesses your camera. When you place a product in your room, your phone's own AR viewer (Apple Quick Look, Google Scene Viewer, or Chrome) handles the camera, and Apple's or Google's privacy policies apply.
Device details: COF World reads your graphics card, memory, screen size, and similar details to choose a graphics quality level. These stay in your browser's memory and are never stored or sent to us.
Not used: location, microphone, contacts, notifications, and motion sensors.

Job applications

Job applications are handled by Paycom, our HR provider, not through this website. When you apply through the Careers page, you are taken to Paycom, and Paycom's privacy policy applies to the information you submit there.

How we share information

We share personal information only as described here:

Service providers that run parts of the Sites for us and may use the information only to provide those services:
- Wix.com (custofab.com hosting, forms, and form submissions; it also serves COF World's browser-tab icon, so it receives each COF World visitor's IP address and browser type)
- Amazon Web Services (COF World hosting and account storage)
- Microsoft 365 (sends COF World sign-in code emails)
- Google (Google Analytics on custofab.com, only with your consent)
- Usercentrics (consent management on custofab.com)
The public: your COF World display name and challenge results on the leaderboard, as described above.
Legal reasons: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Cust-O-Fab, our employees, or others.
Business transfers: if Cust-O-Fab is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep quote requests and business correspondence as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and recordkeeping requirements. We keep COF World account information until you delete your account. We do not keep backup copies of COF World account data, so a deleted account is gone for good and cannot be recovered. Our hosting providers may keep standard access logs, such as IP addresses and browser type, only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, and then delete them. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.

How we protect information

The Sites use encrypted connections (HTTPS). COF World has no passwords to steal; sign-in codes and tokens are stored only in one-way scrambled form, and codes expire after 10 minutes and lock after 5 wrong tries. We limit access to personal information to the people and providers who need it, and we rely on the security controls of Wix and AWS. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Email: we do not send marketing email from the Sites. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first, and every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link.
Cookies: change your choice through Cookie Settings on custofab.com, or the saved-settings option in COF World.
Access, correction, and deletion: you can see your COF World profile and progress in Menu > Account and delete your account there at any time. To get a copy of your information, correct it (including your display name or email), or delete other information we hold, contact us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We will respond to requests within the time the law requires, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

California and other US states. Residents of California and several other states have rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know, correct, and delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale, sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, and we do not use it for profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. To make a request, contact us using the details below; you may use an authorized agent. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond within the time the law requires.

Children

The Sites are intended for businesses, students, and adults, and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16, and COF World accounts are for people 16 and older. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

Cust-O-Fab is based in Oklahoma, United States, and the Sites are hosted in the United States. If you use the Sites from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Visitors from the EU, UK, and Switzerland. Cust-O-Fab is the controller of your personal information. We rely on these legal bases:

Contract: to answer quote requests and provide COF World accounts you request
Legitimate interests: to run, secure, and improve the Sites and to follow up on business inquiries, balanced against your rights
Consent: for analytics cookies and saved settings in COF World; you can withdraw it at any time
Legal obligation: to keep records the law requires

You may also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority. For transfers to the United States, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses used by our service providers.

Links to other sites

The Sites may link to other websites, such as social media pages or partner sites. This policy does not cover those sites; please read their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and we will give more notice for significant changes, such as adding analytics or marketing email to COF World.
