Cust-O-Fab, a leader in the design and manufacturing of shell and tube heat exchangers, vessels, towers, and other heat transfer components, in the petrochemical industry for over 50 years is currently seeking a weekend day shift Assembler in our Beaumont, Texas location.
Position Summary:
The Assembler will perform tasks that are necessary to the production process. This position aids in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products.
Use tools to make or repair parts and products
o Measuring tools (tape measures, dial calipers)
o Cutting torches, plasma and grinders
o Band saws and bundle saws
o Manual radial drills and hand drills
o Hot saws
o Threading machines
o Pressure vacuum pumps
Interpret technical documents, such as schematics and blueprints
Operate forklift and overhead crane occasionally
Push, pull and roll tubes
Occasionally perform some MIG and TIG welding
The best candidates will possess the following qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Some experience of drilling and tapping
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability and willingness to follow directions
Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
Verbal communication skills
