A plant works a lot like the human body. The control room is the brain, which is connected via the DCS to the equipment, similar to your nervous system. Shell and tube exchangers transfer heat between fluids, just as your heart does. Air cooled exchangers are the skin of the plant, releasing excess heat from the plant's processes to the air. Modern technology added to our equipment allows it to adapt to what cannot be controlled, Mother Nature.
